This is the second year for a combined Northwest Council of Camera Clubs and Columbia Council of Camera Clubs conference being held September 26 & 27, 2008 in Tacoma, WA.  We would like to thank Nikon, Canon, & Hewlett Packard (HP) for their generous sponsorship of this conference. We will have workshops from Weddings and Portraits to Table Tops and Landscapes. Major photographic companies and suppliers, such as HP, Nikon, Canon, Epson, Hunt's Photo, WACOM, and many more will be on hand with their latest products and technologies.  With the help of Tacoma Photographic Society there are several field trips that promise some great evening/morning shots and there is also a NW Trek workshop for a limited number of registrants.

The Keynote speaker will be “Renowned” Wildlife Photographer – MOOSE PETERSON. www.moosepeterson.com

Moose's true passion is for wildlife photography and he considers himself incredibly fortunate to be amongst North America's critters, bringing back their stories with his camera. Along the way Moose has been fortunate to be recognized for his passion: a Nikon Legend Behind the Lens, Lexar Elite Photographer, recipient of the John Muir Conservation Award, Research Associate with the Endangered Species Recovery Program, to name just a few. He shares his knowledge through his writing, being published in over 131 magazines worldwide, author of 23 books and lecturing across the country to thousands upon thousands of photographers. One of the original Nikon shooters to receive the D1 in 1999, Moose embraced this new technology, becoming the only wildlife photographer in the world to shoot strictly digital in the early years. While a beta site for all the major hardware and software manufacturers, Moose continues his main goal of photographing the life history of North America’s endangered wildlife and wild places. Being a creative innovator of new techniques both behind the camera and the computer is the driving force behind his photography and goals.

We are expecting a great turnout, so register early.  You can pay by PayPal online or send in your registrations by mail.  No cash or fax registrations can be accepted. For more details and registration click on the link at the top to go to the 2008 Northwest Photography Conference site. Please pass this information onto other club members and friends as well.
