Traveling Print Salon
A set of prints from each participating NWCCC member club travels from club to club (within their circuit) during the winter/spring months, where they are judged then sent on to the next club. The juried finalists are based on the total number of votes by that circuit’s participating clubs. After the juried circuit is completed, these images are judged by independent judge(s) for the final results. All juried prints are displayed and awards are announced at the fall conference.
GENERAL RULES FOR ALL PRINT COMPETITIONS
(for Traveling and Open Print Salons)
NWCCC TRAVELING PRINT SALON Rules
The NWCCC Traveling Print Salon is a club competition. Clubs must enter a minimum of ten (10) prints up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) prints. No club is allowed to enter more then one shipping case. A minimum of 5 club print entries are required to enter the Color or Monochrome categories. A photographer may not enter more then four (4) prints per club, and six (6) total prints if belonging to more then one club. A four (4) print limit per photographer per club will be waived only if there insufficient club entries to make the ten (10) print minimum required per club, with a six (6) total print entry limit. Any print may only be entered once. Maximum print or mat size is 16”x20” and minimum print size is 8”x10. If there is a large number of participating clubs, the clubs may be designated to a geographical circuit. Each circuit club will view and judge the club entries in their own circuit and select a First, Second, and Third place in both color and monochrome, which will serve as the first round juried judging. It will be each clubs print director’s responsibility to coordinate the transfer of the prints after club judging to the next participating circuit club. See additional rules in the General Rules for All Print Competitions.
IMPORTANT! All print entries must be submitted in a standard commercial print shipping case for the initial judging, and again later with your juried finalist’s prints. Each club must leave the registration form in the case. We request that you permanently mark your clubs case on the outside cover with a legible color of your clubs initials of the club.
